Wath’s Nick Poppleton will tee it up in 2019 as a professional golfer, and like many Yorkshiremen before him will start out on the PGA EuroPro Tour. Two Yorkshire golfers have been named in a mixed squad of six players who will represent England on a New Year tour of Australia, taking in four events. GLORIOUS GANTON... Three Yorkshire courses have been named in Golf Monthly’s top 100 in the UK and Ireland. Ganton, Alwoodley and Moortown were selected in the November 2018 issue of the magazine but all three move down the list based on the rankings from 2017.
